Empowering Solar Initiatives

SRECC is a registered vender under the following programmes of the Govt. of India and State Govt. of Uttarakhand:-

1. PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana is a Central Scheme that aims to provide free electricity to one crore households in India, who opt to install roof top solar electricity unit. The scheme provides subsidy of Rs. 85800/- (Maximum) to the household (domestic) connection. Apart from the subsidy from the central Govt., Govt. of Uttarakhand is also providing subsidy of Rs. 51000/- (Maximum) on installation of Solar Rooftop Plant. Loan facility is also available from the different banks for the installation of Solar Rooftop Power Plant.

2. Mukhyamantri Saur Swarojgar Yojana

Mukhyamantri Saur Swarojgar Yojana

The Uttarakhand Government has launched the Mukhyamantri Saur Swarojgar Yojana (MSSY) 2024 to promote self-employment through solar energy. The scheme enables unemployed citizens to install solar power plants and earn income by selling electricity to the Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL). Aimed at reducing unemployment and preventing migration, the MSSY allows installation of solar plants of 20, 25, 50, 100, or 200 kW capacity on owned or leased land. Applicants must be permanent residents of Uttarakhand. The scheme offers up to 50% capital subsidy and 4% interest subsidy for three years through MSME. Electricity will be purchased by UPCL for 25 years at a fixed rate of ₹4.64 per unit until 2026.

Solar Power Plants for Industries

Solar Power Plants for Industries are large-scale solar energy systems designed to generate electricity for industrial use. These plants consist of solar panels, inverters, and other components to convert sunlight into electricity. They help industries reduce their reliance on conventional energy sources, lower electricity costs, and reduce carbon footprints. By utilizing solar energy, industries can ensure a sustainable, eco-friendly power supply, improve energy efficiency, and benefit from government subsidies and incentives.
